Signings, Cuts, Trades

So glad the Rams traded for Myles Garrett after using their first round selection on a player who will help them win a Super Bowl this year........ oh wait. That selection for a QB is even more puzzling now, if they were going to get Myles then why not draft someone who could have helped them win this year?

Make a blockbuster trade today you cowards!!!!!!!!!

I guess at this point, the AJ Brown trade is the only thing left that could happen. If he gets traded to the Patriots, NFL should block it as Russini may have given Vrabel insider info from the Eagles that gave the Patriots an advantage over other teams who may have wanted to acquire AJ Brown.

She gave Vrabel much more than insider info

@Simba I'm going to assume we aren't doing anything today? Any potential trades or are we sitting out June 1st?

Nothing that I've heard. Don't think any of the guys on the move were ever actually in the cards for us anyways. These are big dollar guys and we don't have the big dollars.

I kind of figured, but low key I was hoping we may have been in on Josh Sweat but he seems to be heading to Green Bay.

Actually makes their pick make more sense. They won't be in the QB market for 3-4 years, even if Stafford retires. That means they can start selling first round picks again because the primary need for that pick is no longer a need.

I know 2028 draft is a long way out but still I think it's bananas the Eagles got a 1st rdr for him.
Crazy the NFL still allowed it. Who knows if Russini and Vrabel potentially discussed Eagles insider info that gave the Patriots an advantage over other teams. Schefter said Vrabel & Brown maintained communication beyond football, so check to see if Vrabel and Brown discussed this which led to a bigger advantage for the Patriots to acquire him.

Based on the comp they got for him, it would appear the relationship didn't amount to any sort of "benefit" for the Patriots. They paid a pretty hefty price tag for a 29 yo receiver who will be lobbying for a huge raise next year.
