Rossi's Pre-Combine Top 50 and Positional Rankings

My top 50 going into combine week - a lot will probably shift as we get some official measurements and cross check some of the athleticism.

Positional top 10s (will include extras when i've got guys with the same grade as the 10th), OL and DB will go up to 15, only 3 QBs.

I've got preliminary grades on 160 players so far, so if a guy doesn't appear on the list... it's probably that I don't like him lol... unless they're a QB - only done 3 of those guys.

Sonny Styles hive hell yeah !

Interesting that you rank Barham above Derrick Moore.

I'm waaaay higher on Abney and Banks than you.

I'm also surprised Stowers isn't in your TE rankings.

dont like stowers at all - classic college TE who's good at WR things not TE things
if he weighs in bigger than expected i might go and reevaluate but right now he's not in my top 10

barham above moore is not that far off right now (Moore's 12th on the list) - close enough that testing will matter
but i love the unhinged ferociousness to barham's game - saw someone say his comp was the tazmanian devil and i think that's appropriate
whereas moore is a pretty one note bull-rusher right now with not a ton of counters and i dont know how well that translates

i like abney a lot - it's just a really good DB group - i've got a cluster of 8 DBs for whom testing and measuring will matter in terms of separating them out

im assuming you're talking about caleb banks... the more i watch, the more he feels like a bust waiting to happen - guys who look like that don't move like that for sure, but the flashes of dominance are so infrequent and he's so consistently high off the ball and gets washed out of the play - im not touching him until R2 and i'd almost prefer another team to take on that risky profile

Nice list. Styles is my number 1 in the class but Bain a close 2nd.

Love to see Treydan Stukes here as well, I'm a big fan.

i love both of those players
since i've rewatched Jeremiyah Love in the passing game he's moved into that top 2-3 range as well

Guys that I don't see here but are worth a look :

Adam Randall RB Clemson
Jimmy Rolder LB Michigan
Logan Taylor G Boston College
Lake Mcree TE USC
Keyron Crawford OLB Auburn

got a 4th round grade on Logan Taylor - pretty upright and laterally limited but powerful, good hands - definitely worth a day 3 shot for me
got a 3rd round grade on Keyron Crawford - i like the twitch and pop in his hands - just pending the athletic testing to confirm that explosion you see on tape

haven't watched the other 3 although i've got jimmy rolder marked on my watch list as a priority (i think it was you who've mentioned him before), and adam randall i've got tagged on the watch list post-combine

i guess ill add lake mcree to the watch list - what do you like about him?

Yeah spot on for Taylor. Feels like a day 3, unspectacular but very reliable Guard. I noticed him during senior bowl reps, his punch gave everyone trouble.

I have the same grade on Crawford, his play strength worries me at times but the intensity and agression he plays with make me want him on my team.

It was actually Zuerlein who put me on Jimmy Rolder, he's super high on him. And turning on the Michigan tape, I had a blast, he's awesome.

Randall I just noticed while watching Clemson, every time he got the ball something positive happened, + his RAS is crazy. That's usually a good combo.

Mcree I just feel like I'm watching Maxx Williams all over again. He's a good blocker although his size isn't crazy, his technique is good and USC deploys him on a variety of blocks. As a receiver he's just a jackass, not a route runner but he catches everything even if it means getting uphanded and flipped over or crushed by 3 dudes.
