Jesse Minter Head Coach

The can have the energy of nuns in the middle of service for all I care so long as they can hold a lead in the 4th quarter
I feel like with Vega, an actual good OL coach that we will finally be able to get the push needed on necessary third downs to keep drives alive and lower the chances of 4th quarter comebacks. Say what you will about the defense falling apart in the 4th quarter, Zach Orr, etc but many of the 4th quarter comebacks started with the inability to extend drives on offense and kill more clock. I feel like things will be a lot different this year under Minter.

You aren’t wrong. The defense very often melted down in the fourth quarter but many of those meltdowns could’ve been avoided had the offense not suddenly stopped working in these key moments. They would go from working the whole game, to suddenly punting over and over while the defense was falling apart, playcalling would get downright weird, execution would be awful, like everyone got uptight because they felt if they gave it back they were gonna lose, and they fall apart too.

Humming on offense and then immediately switching to a ball control offense is wild work

Forgetting Derrick Henry is a thing in the 4th quarter is coaching malpractice. That's why I can't wait to see Harbaugh do that with Cam in New York and Giants fans freak out over why they stopped running the ball or why Faalele is blocking air lol.

It just never made sense to me, how you could be doing so well offensively and your defense struggle and somehow going into ball control made sense?

Every time the other team came back we would then try to open up the offense that has gone cold for 4 straight series.
