Jesse Minter Head Coach

I'm happy with the hire, I know people would have wanted a Klint Kubiak or an offensive minded Head Coach. Lamar is Lamar, he doesn't need a offensive genius. Our issues in the Lamar era has been on the defensive side of the ball. As evidenced by this postseason, every team has been able to do the one thing we can't do... create turnovers and get off field on third downs.

Minter can bring back the Ravens defense we all know and love. I just really wonder what the offensive staff will look like, I do question the fit of Kliff Kingsbury but as long as the OC understands to keep running the ball and never pull Henry in the 4th quarter, I'm good.

Welcome to..... I mean Back to Baltimore Jesse Minter!
LJ has 10 TD 7 int and 6 fumbles in his playoffs career. It would be great for the defense to step up but just about every loss included some form of turn over during the game which in most chances led to the other team scoring and it changed the momentum of the game . Hope Minter can help and I think this is a great hire. This will be the ravens first time hiring a defensive coordinator as a head coach . Now just waiting on that Greg Roman announcement .....^_^

The one thing I hope Minter can do is settle Lamar down, and we see him start taking what the offense gives him opposed to trying for the big play every down. That's how some of the interceptions happen, we've seen him try to do too much and it ends badly. Hopefully Minter and Kingsbury(assuming he gets the job based off reports that Lamar and other players want him here) can finally get through to Lamar and settle him down.

Also to Kingsbury or whoever takes over as OC.... RUN THE BALL AND NEVER TAKE DERRICK HENRY OUT OF THE GAME!

I'd have preferred an offensive coach but we could have done a lot worse than Minty Jester.

You got the feeling they'd hire a defensive coach after having a bad defense for 12 whole months. That kind of thing isn't tolerated in Baltimore,
That's exactly how I felt too, but it seemed like they were ok with hiring either as HC. Seems to me there were a lot of young guys who despite OFF or DEF expertise cancelled something out to make them potentially more valuable.

I just want to be the 1st one to say that we should fire Minter

Best comment in the history of PF

I’m so jealous it didn’t occur to me
You see, you got those who talk the talk and then you got those who walk the walk.

The O line is much more important than the OC. If you protect Lamar he'll score against any defense and every season of his career has been ended by the O line getting dominated, either in a playoff game or all season long.
I am going to disagree there and say coaching absolutely is important for developing a good O-line, you got 5 guys that have to play well together and you gotta be able to develop guys to play well. All I need to do is point out the drop in O-line play when we lost Joe D

This its the raiders . I think the bills will likely hire a coach they are family with like Brian Daboll or could hire Anthony Weaver but it feels like Kubiak going to the raiders
Yeah, that's the feeling I'm getting too about Kubiak. Nobody knows what Mendoza is going to do in the pros but look at what he's doing with Sam Darnold, and he can likely get Jeanty going as well in the run game.

If Buffalo fired McDermott just to hire Daboll..... LOL.
