2026 Offseason Thread

I have to ask, why do you think he's a free agent? If he's perfectly fine in the locker room with zero issues he wouldn't be a free agent weeks after the draft. For that matter the Patriots would have never gotten rid of him.
Because he is an aging player whose price tag is too high. He will be on a roster once his number comes down. If somehow the AJ Brown thing doesn’t happen I expect the Pats would bring him back.

KEEP THAT MF OFF MY TEAM MAN

You want choir boys? Where that got you so far? Nowhere.

AJ Brown. Stefon Diggs. Puka. You can’t be top dawg, if you ain’t alittle toxic.

This is a new era of Ravens football!

Jakobi Lane is already getting Tandon Doss level hype with Ravens fans on social media. So why would we need Diggs?

On a serious note, this team cannot handle that distraction. I’m not saying these young coaches couldn’t make it work, but let’s not add the Diggs drama on top of learning a new culture, playbook, scheme, etc.

Doyle seems approachable but also appears to run a tight ship. Of course its just OTAs but the staff is focused on attention to detail.

Terrorist. All of them.

What’s still hilarious to me is Harbaugh wanted to keep Orr before his firing but wouldn’t even hire him in NY. Stubborn af man

Not really sure Mike Green opinion really count all that much. Hes a young guy and asked to likely do more than he would have liked such as setting the edge and dropping into coverage which is something even Terrell Suggs was ask to do but these young players make care about stats so in Mike Green case he likely wanted to rush the passer every snap. Maybe Jessie Minters defense will help with that but I don't see him still not needing his edge rushers to set the edge or drop in coverage .

Did you notice that our pass rush was awful and completely ineffective last year? Both on film and statistically, they were nonexistent, And that we’ve had a good pass rush once in the last decade?

Perhaps pass rushers caring about stats correlates to having pass rush stats as a team, which leads to a better defense.

The argument that these are just young selfish players saying this for selfish reasons is the absolute weakest possible argument. You can’t handcuff your pass rushers and then wonder why you can’t generate pass rush and then call the pass rushers selfish for wanting more freedom to rush the passer, that is downright crazy.

The problem isn’t having other assignments like setting the edge, the problem is that in obvious pass rush situations, pass rushers still aren’t allowed to capitalize on what they read on the field, if the OT oversets wide you aren’t allowed to counter inside because for some reason gap integrity is paramount on 3rd and long

Losing Nnamdi was big that's one of the reasons why the pass rush wasn't good but also the ravens gambling on Oweh to step up and Van Noy to stay just as good as he was in 2024 didn't go in the ravens favor. Oweh inability to be an every down edge rusher led to a guy like Mike Green to play more than I think the coaching staff actually wanted but again losing Nnamdi was big . Greens a young guy im sure he enjoys what really gets him paid which is sacks . I doubt asking him to drop into coverage or set the edge is something he enjoys or enjoyed but that's not going to stop in Jessie Minter defense though.

We speak about handcuffing our pass rushers and maybe Jessie Minter scheme helps with freedom but honestly the ravens been asking their edge rushers to handle responsibilities outside of just rushing the passer for years.
