2026 Offseason Thread

Is it though? There are very real results to observe here
Correlation and causation are not the same thing. If he was out here missing TC, they'd be pissed. But they don't care that he's missing a few days, nor do they care that a few other vets are missing time either.

I actually think he'll be fine but who knows
I do not, he's never been good. Neither in college or in his rookie year.

I cant possibly understand why he wasn't challenged last year and why he's not being challenged this year either. That's pretty criminal. Dude already has the missing of the post season squarely on his foot and now has a new holder.

Would think he continues to be an obvious liability. And it's just so ridiculous to hold the following 2 positions simultaneously. Kickers are better than ever and a total commodity with there's literally no options to bring in. Can't be both

Why do the qbs who have that championship mentality in their DNA show up to every voluntary OTA? The proof is in the pudding, it matters, the guys who beat Lamar every January show up to these things, the guys who win super bowls show up to these things.

Josh allen just had a 4 TO playoff game. The year before he should have turned the ball over 4 or 5 times against KC. Sometimes the ball bounces your way, sometimes it doesn't. You know what else those qbs have? Defenses that cause TOs in the playoffs. Is him not showing up the reason we have 2 or 3 since 2018? I would rather him be at OTAs but let's not act like thats the reason this team hasn't won a SB. These are mostly for optics. And I'd love for you to tell me all about Peytons performances in his sb runs

I knew correlation and causation would be brought up here, but I also can’t ignore it. The qbs who operate the most consistent and reliable offenses come January, always show up, and ours does not and he also is a rattled mess who makes game changing negative plays that are way out of character for him.

Brady Peyton and Mahomes didn’t do shit like that in the playoffs, even if they lost, they weren’t out there doing shit out of character, getting flustered, and putting their team in bad spots every January, having miscommunications with receivers and trying to force plays and giving up turnovers. They showed up all year and at their worst they were at least steady and dependable in the playoffs, they showed up the same player they had been all year and were on cue with all their teammates.

And yes I understand Peyton had some ugly moments early on, he turned that around and remained consistent afterwards.

Did the bills “force” either of Lamar’s turnovers? No, Lamar literally gave them the ball twice. Did the chiefs force Lamar to underthrow into TRIPLE coverage? No, he panicked and did that all on his own.

Peyton struggled against some seriously elite defenses early on but he didn’t stay bad forever.

This is coming from one of the most "blame the players" guys on here... but I'd say the coaches going full retard is a much greater reason for our lack of playoff success than missing OTA sessions.

One was a bad snap and you'll hear nothing about that dumb ass throw into triple coverage. The Bateman int was said to be a miscommunication. That said the Andrews fumble was more damning than both that game to me.

And you gotta be kidding about Peyton not looking out of character.

2023 was a complete joke on the coaches part.

22 that stupid ass sneak from damn near the 2.

Whatever 19 was

Tom Brady is not my favorite person, but the way he approached the game is what it takes to be a champion.

Bad snap didn’t cause the turnover. Panicking after recovering it caused it.

Cold conditions and the fact he caught the bad snap is why im not too mad about the fumble. Same way I didn't kill Henry week 1 cause they were damn near on him the second he got the ball.

Top 3 all time HC and great defenses dont hurt either.

Winning a SB almost always takes a bit of luck. Never forget that

Absolutely fair I will not argue this at all

I do think it matters for more than optics though.

There was the bad snap but it was Lamar who fumbled it after having firm possession of it. I blame linderbaum for the play going awry but I blame Lamar for the loss of possession of short field for the bills.

And yeah Peyton was ugly early on but again that was prime defensive era in the nfl, he was playing against some goddamn squads those years, and he turned it around eventually in the playoffs

I don't get how that's what you took from that but no.

Hes busted his ass to get where he is. Was also a good situation to fall into.
Yeah it was but the patriots don’t have anywhere close to 6 rings if tom Brady isn’t who he is, they may not have one at all if they’re leaning on bills coaching and any other qb. Andy Reid’s a great coach but Mahomes is why they have 3 rings since 2019. Those guys have championship mentality.

It really just is a mentality thing, being there at every opportunity is locking in all year, taking time off is locking in only when you need to.
