The Q4 Heroics, the Tackling, and the Season is Over

I don't think the gameplan was necessarily bad. I think we left a lot of potential homeruns on the table though.
The main issue for me was we didn't control the TOP the way we did the previous week, especially in the 2nd half. It would have gone a long way to help the ailing D.

Harbaugh doesn't lose you games because of himself very often. It's happened but it's rare. He keeps a good culture for the most part and his biggest criticism is consistently picking trash coordinators.

I think for sure, Steve keeps John but says we gotta get a legit DC. Wouldn't surprise me one bit either if they say Monk isn't it either.

EDC needs to be better. The coaching staff needs to be better. But I think it's obvious you can improve the coordinators a lot easier than you could improve the HC THIS YEAR.
But does he win you games either?

I get the arguments either way or wouldn't be surprised if it went either way, but if you're telling your HC that he needs to select two new coordinators, that's a larger problem than just the coordinators.

every week.

Get me someone from the Andy Reid or Sean McVay coaching tree that will use Andrews properly. I feel like for what we paid him, we don't use him enough. Sure he's had his drops and fumbles but we don't use him like a Travis Kelce.

He’s a chest catcher. Buddy don’t got hands.

At least Likely’s last catch as a Raven was memorable and sexy as fuck. Mark can suck a donger.

TOP is so overrated lol

i much prefer scoring points
It's hardly overrated when your defense is beat up and struggling, it's actually invaluable to limit the opposition's posessions. And sure, you have to score points too. We did both the previous week, worked out pretty well.

TOP is a great stat to win when your defense can actually get the occasional stop

It is possible and happened last with McCarthy, I believe. Just doesn't seem likely.

Yes I agree. And that's why I wouldn't bring him back. It's exactly the point that he's very neutral. He's not going to win you games.

Still just think Ravens are bringing him back

I don't know why you bother

and the def was almost always ailing under orr

I honestly have no idea why teams even wasted snaps trying to run on us because we all knew what would happen when they had a semi competent passing attack

I'm a Knicks fan. Had the most success we've seen in decades under Thibs. That doesn't mean you always stick with that coach. I personally wanted him gone for at least a year. They can have a ceiling, become stagnant or simply run their course with a group. You can't be afraid to make a change for consistency's sake which is exactly what keeping Harbaugh will feel like.

It’s not all on Orr even if I don’t like him as a DC. It’s also the players like Roquan Smith and especially Marlon Humphrey.

Just didn’t seem like anyone on Defense bought into it. Also the problem is Orr ALWAYS need half a season to get the Defense looking OK. Not elite not good but just OK
