Hall of Famer
The NFL got what they wanted with the Ravens & Steelers. So now we once again our flexed into Primetime to close out the regular season. It's the Ravens & Steelers on Sunday Night Football! Before we get to that, we got some other playoff seeding and division titles to hand out on Saturday & Sunday. The Seattle Seahawks head to San Francisco to battle for the 1 seed in the NFC, Carolina plays Tampa for the NFC South but Tampa can't even clinch on Saturday even if they win!
Saturday NFL Football
Panthers @ Buccaneers: The battle for NFC South supremacy ends in Tampa Bay as the Carolina Panthers look to dethrone the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are looking to win their fifth straight NFC South Title. It hasn't been a good start to the week as Bowles has called out the play of Baker Mayfield, which may play a role in his job security in 2026. Tampa and Carolina will both be down a Corner and Linebacker as Jamal Dean & Anthony Nelson has been ruled out for Tampa, and Corner Robert Rochelle & Linebacker Claudin Cherelus. For Carolina, winning the NFC South is obviously the goal but the Panthers have a bright future regardless of the results this weekend.
Seahawks @ 49ers: If the 49ers win against the Seahawks on Saturday Night, they will clinch the one seed and home field advantage through the playoffs, and potentially in the Super Bowl. The 49ers have battled through injuries all season but still find themselves battling for the top seed in the NFC, a very impressive feat for a team that didn't have Brock Purdy for six games due to a turf toe. It's looking like they are getting healthy at the right time as George Kittle and Trent Williams seem poised to play on Saturday Night. On the flip side, Mike Macdonald is on his way to making history in only his second season as Head Coach if Seattle wins on Saturday. A win on Saturday would give Seattle it's best season in Franchise history with a 14-3 record. In the middle of a six game win streak, Seattle looks to capture their first NFC West Title since 2020.
Sunday 1PM Early Games
Saints @ Falcons: The Atlanta Falcons are on their way to their eighth straight season of missing the playoffs, yet they still could determine who wins the NFC South. A win and a Buccaneers win on Saturday puts Carolina, Tampa & Atlanta at 8-9. Due to tiebreakers, a Atlanta win would mean Carolina winning the NFC South even if Carolina loses on Saturday. While Raheem Morris and GM Terry Fontenot are only in their second season together, there could be some changes in Atlanta if Arthur Blank gets impatient with Raheem Morris. Ending the season with a four game win streak would seemingly save Raheem Morris' job for at least one more season, but New Orleans has seemingly taken themselves out of the running for a QB in 2026. Tyler Shough has shown out in 2026, getting the most wins among all rookie quarterbacks this season. The future seems bright in New Orleans with Kellen Moore and Tyler Shough, and with an off season to build around him and a division that's wide open, things could be looking up for the Saints in 2026.
Titans @ Jaguars: It's safe to say Liam Coen is on his way to the Coach Of The Year award with the quick turnaround he has led in Jacksonville. Jacksonville can win their 13th game of the year and clinch the AFC South on Sunday, 1 shy of their Franchise best record 14 wins. Jacksonville can be as low as the three seed and as high as the one seed with a win and if both New England & Denver lose. Tennessee meanwhile looks to end the season on a high note playing spoiler to Jacksonville's AFC South title hopes as they are in search for a new Head Coach in 2026.
Colts @ Texans: Well that was fun while it lasted, Philip Rivers is heading back to the retirement home before Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. The Colts will turn to rookie Riley Leonard on Sunday as they look to play spoiler to the Houston Texans. The Colts will have a lot of questions to answer in 2026, will they bring back Daniel Jones? Will Head Coach Shane Steichen return, what about General Manager Chris Ballard? Who will be their starting QB in 2026? Meanwhile, Houston will hope the Titans can pull off a upset to give them their third straight AFC South Title under DeMeco Ryans.
Browns @ Bengals: In week one when these two teams met, Joe Flacco was the starter for the Cleveland Browns. For fun, Cincinnati should sit Joe Burrow and start Joe Flacco. Another Head Coach and General Manager on the hot seat is Kevin Stefanski & Andrew Berry in Cleveland. While Cleveland pulled off the upset last week over Pittsburgh, it doesn't mean either are guaranteed to come back. The Browns reportedly have done research on new head coaches which does lean toward Kevin Stefanski coaching his last game in Cleveland on Sunday. Meanwhile, it seems Zac Taylor will be safe in Cincinnati but they look to build momentum and return to the playoffs in 2026.
Packers @ Vikings: For Green Bay, they know they are in the playoffs and are locked in as the seventh seed in the NFC playoff race. So Matt LaFleur has said some starters will get some rest ahead of the playoffs but did not specify which ones. With Jordan Love still in concussion protocol, it's safe to assume Malik Willis will get the start to give Love another week to heal up. As for the Vikings, letting Sam Darnold leave for Seattle where he has them fighting for the one seed may have been a decision they would like a do-over on. While battling injuries, J.J McCarthy still hasn't shown if he's truly the guy in Minnesota but he'll get one more shot on Sunday to show Vikings coaches and fans why he should be their starter in 2026.
