This is from a guy who WAS SUPPOSED to be a key piece on the offense and has been ass all year. If that is the mentality of the players then yeah, they're weak, but it's only a symptom from the real cause which is coaching.

So I’m kinda not sure if he said that or not. I’m also not sure if this guy is a Ravens fan or a Patriots fan or something since he says “it’s up to y’all bro! Just 2 more games, bro” where I’m not sure if it’s heckling or what. But let’s assume he is a Ravens fan.
This is a great example of what is wrong with this team. If that guy is a Ravens fan, I’m glad we didn’t pay this guy [Likely]. Who goes and says that to a fan anyway that “we ass as fuck”? Even if you’re thinking it, that’s a terrible attitude.
This just reinforces what I thought was wrong with the team: these guys bought into their own hype and I’m now convinced they expected to continue the 2024 Ravens dominance. I’d say they expected it, even. Then reality hit them in the mouth and they recoiled like little bitches. It explains a lot and explains why they never got over Buffalo.
Is that on the HC? Yes but I’d also say it goes way deeper than this. We need to get rid of these bitch ass Ravens.

I thought of the same thing. If you're a player and to think we suck is one thing but to say out loud we ass as !@@# to a fan just shows you're weak. I agree, get rid of these players.
Where I put the blame on coaching is because it's up to the coach to maintain/handle the workplace culture. Your voice goes stale after a while and change is needed. 18 seasons is a very long time in the league. Time to bring in a new philosophy and culture.
I’m not saying it’s right in any case… but the fan you hear is Trippy. He’s well known and has a good relationship with most of the players. He gives his honest takes and the players usually give it right back.

Like I said before this team has been choking/disappointing for over a decade. Let's not act like this is new. Harbs knew he was on the hot seat in 18. It's been long enough and time for a new voice. People were saying the same things about the talent on the Patriots before Vrabel and look at them. The Niners before Jim got there were a laughing stock with "mentally weak" players.

That definitely was one. And tbf there could have been RPOs that were read to run. But all in all, considering pressure is as such a big deal, and even if there were many that went as handoffs(don’t believe it was, options in general were rarely used) you’d think it would be something that would be used generously just to keep defenses honest and the offense more easily on schedule.
It seriously feels like coaching malpractice that it wasn’t a major factor in our offense all year long.

Nothing wrong with speaking the truth. It's sad to say that I really have lost interest in this team and really wins and losses barely affect me emotionally at all. Definitely not renewing game pass next year as I barely use it.

Ah thanks for clarifying that. I didn’t know, but that doesn’t help my opinion on Likely at all. That only confirms to me he’s got problems and I’d stay of our problems. I’ll be glad when he’s gone
it's a 3 year extension that's really a 2 year extension that, in the worst case, can be only a 1 year extension
he's got a cap hit of under 7m next year and under 15m in year 2 and you don't need to worry about year 3
like i get that paying him as a top 10 TE is annoying
but it really wasn't a crazy deal at all - there's 14m in funny money in that 3rd year that doesnt matter if he's declining in year 1 or 2 of the new deal - it's basically a 2 year 25m deal
and it gives you a 2 year buffer to find his replacement and not having to completely reset the TE position from scratch

So in the macro, it's fine.
But again, you could sign a fairly decent veteran pass rusher, veteran Corner, etc. for that same price tag.
AND in an offense which, today, is emphasizing the TE less, it just doesn't make any sense from an investment standpoint. Kolar and a draft pick are 50% or less of that cost.
