Hall of Famer
For whatever reason, the NFL wants us to suffer in primetime games this season, hence another Sunday Night Game for the Ravens meaning we get to take advantage of our Sunday Ticket package once again. We got huge games with major playoff implications on the line, starting with a pivotal NFC West showdown on Thursday Night as the Rams head to Seattle to take on the Seahawks and the 12th Man. We got games on Saturday with the Eagles taking on the Commanders, and a huge NFC North showdown between the Packers and Da Bears who may move to Indiana. Let's see what else we got..........
Thursday Night Football
Rams @ Seahawks: Week 16 kicks off in Seattle where the 11-3 Seattle Seahawks play host to the 11-3 Los Angeles Rams. This game is not just crucial for the Division Title, but also who may end up with home field advantage throughout the playoffs. With the Rams already beating Seattle earlier this year, a season sweep will move the Rams one step closer to winning the NFC West. Can Sam Darnold overcome his troubles from the last Rams game where he threw four interceptions in what ended up being a narrow loss to the Rams. If Seattle wins, Mike Macdonald will head to the playoffs for the first time as Head Coach.
NFL Saturday
Eagles @ Commanders: The last time a team in the NFC East won back to back division titles was the Philadelphia Eagles who won four consecutive NFC East Titles from 2001-2004. The 2025 Philadelphia Eagles look to make it a more recent stat as a win over the Commanders on Saturday clinches back to back NFC East Titles for the defending Super Bowl Champions. The Commanders shut down Jayden Daniels for the remainder of the season meaning for the second straight week, the Eagles will play a former Eagles Quarterback. Marcus Mariota will start the rest of the way for Washington which coupled with injuries all over including losing Zach Ertz to a torn ACL last week, should make this a easy win for Philadelphia.
Packers @ Bears: It's a great day to be a Chicago Bears fan in Chicago on a Saturday Night. The Chicago Bears find themselves atop the NFC North in a first place showdown with the Green Bay Packers, who won the first matchup against the Bears earlier this month. Both of these teams have the same playoff clinching scenario, a win and a Lions loss on Sunday means the winner of this game clinches a playoff spot.
Green Bay is coming off a disaster of a week where they not only loss to the Broncos, but lost Micah Parsons for the year with a torn ACL. Can Green Bay bounce back here and overcome the injury bug to complete a sweep of their division rival? Or will the Bears start to pull away in the Division and take one step closer to clinching their first NFC North Title since 2018.
Sunday 1PM Early Games
Bills @ Browns: The Buffalo Bills riding high off a huge comeback win over the Patriots to keep their AFC East Title hopes alive, head to what will be a windy Cleveland to take on the Cleveland Browns. The Bills look to avoid the trap game here as they can clinch a playoff spot with a win and either a Texans loss to the Raiders or a Colts loss on Monday Night. It seems the winds of change are heading to Cleveland once again as Kevin Stefanski, GM Andrew Berry and others are trying to keep their job for next season and a loss to Buffalo could signal the end much sooner rather than later.
On a positive note for Cleveland, Myles Garrett finds himself 1.5 sacks away from setting a new NFL sack record on Sunday. Currently behind Michael Strahan & T.J. Watt who are tied for the NFL sack record at 22.5, Garrett looks to put his name in the record book as the lone holder of the NFL sack record.
Bengals @ Dolphins: When these two teams met late in 2019, it would change both franchises forever as the Dolphins beat the Cincinnati Bengals allowing the Bengals to clinch the 1st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and select Joe Burrow. While Miami picked sixth that year and drafted Tua Tagovailoa. Here we are in 2025 ahead of another game between the two teams, the Dolphins have benched Tua in place of rookie QB Quinn Ewers and Joe Burrow sounds like he wants out of Cincinnati next season.
Miami's game plan may be simple, run the ball and take advantage of a Bengals run defense that ranks 27th and just gave up 100 yards on 11 carries to Derrick Henry last week. This will allow them to simplify things Ewers making his first career NFL start on Sunday, but the Bengals look to keep fighting on and hope to come away with wins that can give their fans hope for next season.
Chargers @ Cowboys: The Chargers have won three straight games heading into Dallas including putting the nail in the coffin for the Kansas City Chiefs season, meaning we'll have a new AFC Champion for the first time since.... 2021. (@Dom McRaven More 2021 References for you). While LA looks to lock up a playoff spot and prevent Denver from winning the AFC West, the Cowboys find themselves clinging on to the very slim playoff hopes that they do have.
Jets @ Saints: Week 16 sends the New York Jets to the Superdome to take on the New Orleans Saints in a matchup that could have major implications for the 2026 NFL Draft order. With both teams well outside the playoff picture, this game feels less about postseason dreams and more about future direction — making it one of the league’s most intriguing late-season “tank bowl” matchups. The Jets continue to evaluate their roster under head coach Aaron Glenn, as undrafted rookie QB Brady Cook once again starts for Gang Green.
New Orleans finds itself in a similar position, but with some hope from second round draft pick Tyler Shough who has at least done enough to compete for the starting job next year. Kellen Moore and the Saints coaching staff will have a lot to evaluate over these last three games, but a two game win streak that has played a major role in the battle for the NFC South, the Saints have the momentum on their side to extend their win streak to three against the Jets on Sunday.
Buccaneers @ Panthers: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers head to Charlotte to face the Carolina Panthers in one of the most important games of the NFC South race. Both teams have suffered frustrating losses to the New Orleans Saints over the past two weeks, tightening the division standings and setting the stage for a true winner-take-control matchup.
