2026 OL Thread

If the Ravens can retain Linderbaum, then you may only be looking at one spot they're looking to add bonafide talent at (RG). But that shouldn't preclude them from taking a big long look at any of these OL, regardless of position.

Some interesting big men in this class.

Of the guys who've already declared, Caleb Lomu and Olaivavega Ioane are the most highly touted prospects.

Definitely bumping this for obvious reasons.

so i've done very preliminary evals on about 16 guys
and this is not a great OL class

so far only 2 1st round initial grades on OL and no elite top 10 type grades

Spencer Fano and Emmanuel Pregnon my 2 initial favourites

i would say at this point, it's not a great class to be looking for OL up high

Of all the years to actually be in a spot where we could get a good OL and there aren't any that are worth it

for context:
i've seen 3 guys that are consistently being listed in and around the top 20 at the moment

Fano
Mauigoa (who has a late 1/early 2 initial grade from me)
Proctor (who has a preliminary 3rd round grade from me)

i also really like Pregnon who i see lots of places have as more of a late 1st or even straight up 2nd round guy

Carter Smith, Pregnon, World, Brian Parker 2, Laloulu, Chase Bisontis, Logan Jones, Dunker: creo que es una buena clase, pero sin talento de élite; una clase sólida.

we'll see

carter smith - definitely day 2 for me right now - just not sure where he'll end up on day 2 at the end
pregnon - im a massive fan
world - i've not watched but have read in passing some mixed stuff
brian parker - i like - again looks like day 2 guy to me
Laloulu - i've not studied but he kept standing out to me in a negative way when watching pregnon
bisontis - again day 2 but not sure where he'll end up
logan jones - smaller, slower, worse tyler linderbaum - day 3 at best for me for the ravens right now on first watch
dunker - borderline day 2/day 3 for me - he's massive and a good drive blocker but i'm not sure the slow feet will translate even with a move inside to guard

I would be surprised if Linderbaum leaves BUT if he does, I think Corey Bullock is the guy who would be slated to start. I don't think we would be looking to draft a C high unless it was some slam dunk obvious guy.

So that means C is unlikely to get a pick IMHO. And we just drafted Jones, have Rosengarten, and drafted Vinson and re-signed Stanley. As much as I would love to have a Stanley replacement, and I think it is possible, that person would likely slot in a LG for this year. So you're either looking at a LT/LG (LT who can play LG for now) or a RG IMHO since RG is a weakness for us and we have Rosengarten who I believe we will stick with next year as he was a 2nd round pick and played well last year and at times this year.

I also like Pregnon, really solid dude who played LG and very nasty in the run game.

if you let linderbaum go and plug in corey bullock, you're definitely targeting some rookie depth at C later on
but yeah regardless, you're probably not looking at significant capital either way

i think you're just looking for dudes right now - if the best guy's a tackle, i'm not passing on him just because we've already got 2 tackles - we'll find a way to slot him in

i think pregnon is my favourite guy i've studied so far - i really liked fano as well - just love the flexibility and power that pregnon has in his core - just really easy knock-back power, long arms with a great latch and an enforcer's mentality

Totally agree with everything here

I don’t know if Bullock is a massive drop from Tyler but they like him. I know if he starts then we need depth. Hopefully we keep Tyler and it’s a moot poont

Stanley is always hurt somehow and has been good but has his moments. Vinson seems heir apparent but that’s only because there isn’t anyone else atm.

I think we definitely need guard help because Jones is unproven and Voorhees has been wildly up and down. And Faalele is gone as a FA (I hope)

Even if we draft a LT to replace Stanley, as you said, no reason they can’t play LG like we did with others previously

I need to see more of the class first but I love Pregnon. I get RG vibes from him

for what it's worth i was very high on carson vinson coming out - one of my favourite picks we made that whole draft
and what we've seen from him in his small amount of time was really promising in terms of how he's developed already

not going to call him the heir apparent - but i already feel good about him being the swing tackle in 2026 and who knows, maybe he really can be the successor to stanley - what i am slightly curious about is whether he could also factor into the LG conversation in 2026 - i think he plays with good enough leverage even though he's 6'7

emery jones i'm not as sold on - but he's also had so much less seasoning from missing the entire offseason and most of the year - we really can't go into a 3rd straight season with Vorhees as the LG starter (only to spend most of the season trying to improve on him) but idk if Jones is a guy you can go into the offseason assuming he's going to usurp him from that role - that's surely the hope but you can't guarantee that outcome - also no guarantee he'll stay on the left side if there's two holes and he has actual time to work out which side is better for him

with pregnon (or any of the guys you draft), generally i don't love changing sides if it feels unnatural

I thought about that too with Vinson. It’s not unprecedented since we did the same with Meraki (swing tackle who started at LG). I’m with you on Jones but I do think we will try to see what he can do. I also have doubts about us drafting two interior OL early. I think you could see us sign a guy in FA but I think if our guard competition is Jones and a FA/pick at RG and a draft pick and or Vinson/Vorhees that isn’t bad assuming we’re not talking a 5th round draft pick at LG or RG competition

I need to look at the 2-4th round guys for OL. I think that’s where we go. I’d also expect us to draft an IDL high as well. I don’t feel like we will see a top first round pick on OL. I feel like if we do draft high we will spend that at EDGE

i'm with you there

i think we're looking at Jones competing at either RG/LG, Vorhees competing at LG, a cheap free agent and a draft pick (or two) to add to the competition at either spot - and then potentially bullock and vinson factoring into the competition too

I generally liked the Oregon (World, Pregnon, and Laulu) and Indiana (Carter Smith and Coogan) ofensive lines.

While there doesn't seem to be any elite talent, I think this is an underrated offensive line class. This year's defensive linemen are the star class, and it's normal that they stand out, but the offensive linemen haven't done so badly. Their weak point is that they seem weaker in pass protection, but they look good in the running game. It all depends on what we're looking for.

I’m on 0 tape still but a motherfucker with the name Gennings Dunker and all this aura…

If Fano is on the board then I think he should be the pick. Plug him in at G his rookie year, and then he can replace Stanley in the long run.

This seems to confirm my point. If he started as a LTtwo years ago and was then moved full-time to right-hander, it doesn't inspire confidence. He might be a swing, but as a Lamar protector, it raises a lot of questions for me.
I prefer someone with extensive experience in the position as the starter.

I'm not saying he's a bad player, just that we already have a RT.

Anyway, the main thing is to replace Faalele. If Fano can play there, that would be good, but not as a LT.
