2026 EDGE Thread

The cupboard's looking pretty bare at EDGE for the Ravens in 2026 and beyond unless they re-sign Dre'Mont Jones, and even then there's a clear need for another EDGE to join Mike Green and Tavius Robinson.

Lots of names in this class, but sounding a bit like the groups from the last 2-3 years where there's lots of big names but lots of questions about guys.

Reuben Bain Jr is already the subject of conversations about whether he's a IDL in the pros and that he's probably going to measure in with really small arms.
Cashius Howell might also be a guy who suffers from arm length conversations too.

What’s the thoughts on Keldric Faulk ?

reminds me a lot of mykel williams from last year - i think i like him better than mykel though
not as explosive as a guy like travon walker but definitely similarly hard to evaluate because of his usage in the auburn scheme

really love his power and block deconstruction though

he's also one of the youngest guys in the class

he's definitely going to fit right into an NFL front 4 and probably be a moveable piece across the LoS - my question with him (that's unanswered right now based on the limited film i've seen so far) is what's the ceiling as a pass rusher? Is there more twitch and bend he can access or are we already close to the ceiling physically?

he looks like a guy who's going to be a really good football player - but with the questions about pass rush, you get questions about value - then again the 49ers decided mykel williams was worth the 11th pick

first pleasant surprise of the scouting process

Akheem Mesidor!

I love him - i'm thinking he's getting significantly dinged for being 25 on draft day - but to me, that surely is only the reason he's not getting 1st round buzz - had some consistent issues with foot injuries which im guessing is partly why he's such an old prospect

awesome prospect

i think this guy flashes more on tape than reuben bain jr who's got top 10 hype
he's explosive, got a full toolkit of moves, plays with violence and effort, has good play-strength, versatile rush alignments
definitely benefited from the extra attention bain jr was getting from other teams - but not in a way that's particularly relevant to his evaluation i dont think

ok similar story to mesidor with romello height

much like mesidor flashing on reuben bain's tape

romello height flashed like crazy on david bailey's tape

another older guy who's also going to be 25 on draft day - more of a DPR than a 3 down player but he's explosive, active with his hands, sets up moves, good bend, long

a bit undersized and probably not going to be setting many firm edges on running downs - but this dude looks like a guy who can be a factor on 3rd downs for sure

i think this guy showed more against the better competition than david bailey - im guessing he's going to weigh in sub-240lbs though

TJ Parker looks like he'll be really good in the NFL for a long time to come. Great combination of strength, hand fighting, a mean streak, and football smarts. He can also rush from the edge or interior.

idk about parker
he plays like a guy who should carve out a career as an edge setter but he wasn't actually that good at it in college (at least in terms of consistency)

as a rusher he's not explosive or twitchy to threaten a two-way go, so he has to win with power and doesn't use his hands or counter well

he's got some physical tools to work with but for me i'd be really disappointed with him if i took him ahead of the 3rd round tbh

feels like he could bust

Mesidor and Bain have both dominated reps against this ohio state OL already after only 2 drives

game-wreckers both of them

and it continued that way the whole first half
i'd be interested to see what the true pass rush win rate for those two was in the first half - must be close to 50%

bain and mesidor winning almost at will

Reuben bain just took over that game

Best player in the draft type stuff - ohio state has 3 surefire first rounders (at least) on that defence and he outshone them all

who cares if his arms don't hit certain benchmarks - what he does, translates

He ain't gonna fall to us, isn't he?

He ain't gonna fall to us, isn't he?

the only way he falls to us is if the whole arm length things goes into overdrive - and if you see that stuff i reckon it'll definitely be coming from teams picking outside the top 10 hoping to get him to slide

there's an argument to be made he's the best player in the class - especially after last night

good starts for lee hunter and david bailey

lee hunter starts the game with TFL
bailey finishes the first drive with a clean win for a sack

We did want to trade for Khalil Mack in that draft. Granted that was with Ozzie but you never say never. I'm not sure we would want to trade future picks when those could be higher first round picks and second round picks.
