The Shutout, the Running Game, and the Injuries

Defence started the game soft, got lucky with an unblocked sack on the first drive.
Bengals had a few drives but to get a shutout against this offence is an awesome feat.

Travis Jones had a huge game. It's great to see a guy get a big new contract and put in a game the next week that rewards you.
Dre'Mont Jones seems like an insane person (compliment).
Those two personally made Burrow's life hell - with some help from some others.

Running game in the 2nd half was monstrous. Seemed odd when we went away from it.

Just need to find out about some of these injuries.
Buchanan the big one.
But Awuzie was ruled out and Humphrey, Stanley, Jones and some others all had plays where they came up gimpy.

Also Zay with the two big drops - this trend needs to stop.

But it feels great to end the Bengals season!

Them boys was fighting. It's been awhile since I've seen that type of passion.

On defense, the Tavius or Dre'Mont as an interior rusher seemed to open up the pass rush. It's not a good OL, but still a positive sign going forward.

Still can't fathom why this wasn't the game plan Thanksgiving night...

Whereas in previous weeks it was hard to find even a few good plays, today we had a whole bunch! There was also a lot of ugly shit too but at least there were flashes of a run game, pass game, and pass rush.

Couldve been a whole lot better but always fun to wallop Cincy

I think we need to get bigger guys at wr! Lamar tends to throw them mfs too high. I saw jones and robins sacks but i didnt see the mike green sack

Monken abandoned the run on a drive that should have at least made it 20-0, and Lamar took two bad sacks again. But we were getting 12 yards a rush there was literally no reason to stop running.

That’s the bad

On to New England. Now we need Miami to play well in the cold and beat Pittsburgh tomorrow night.

Monken tried to fuck this game up by starting to throw the ball and Lamar got sacked in that disastrous series in the 3rd quarter .

We were running at will.

That is my only huge complaint and a few drops by Zay.

Lamar Jackson, both last week and this week, has looked the healthiest he has all season. The pass rush was there for basically the entirety of the game, the DBs were far stingier than the receiving totals belie. Derrick Henry and Keaton Mitchell took turns gashing the defense. If not for the two miscues by Zay Flowers, whom had his own massive plays, we could've scored even more points. The only downside of today are the potential injuries.

BTW how about that South Florida boi Lamar Jackson out there without sleeves playing in those temperatures? He showed today he's a grown-ass man lol.

In all seriousness, I thought this was one of the better games I've seen from Lamar. If he can keep stacking these, it's going to be good. He says he is feeling better and I hope it means he is back. If so, we can contend.

Shoutout Gilman he had an insane game
He was a big part of the problem on that first drive. Bit on a couple of things he shouldn't have, and he's had shoddy tackling his whole career.

But after that drive, he turned it on and was arguably the best player on the field today.
