The Refs, the Special Teams, and the Mistakes

I get it, but even moving on from Brian Billick and even when we brought him in initially, with those two changes a SB occurred somewhat quickly. I think with veteran teams that have been in the mix for a long time and have been on the short end of the stick are more susceptible - if that's the right word, to progress if the message is right. I think both BB and JH had the right message at the right time. But both of their times passed... I really would have loved Sean Payton. :crying:

I would argue that the Jim Caldwell transition was a huge move that you might want to look at for what a new "outlook" can do.

I honestly I just think if Harbaugh message had grown stale then this team wouldn't still be in run to potentially make the playoffs after how they started this season. This is a pretty young team and the ravens aren't the only talented team in the AFC that has consistently come up short in big moments either. I was in Elementary school when Brian Billick was the ravens head coach so I can't really say much about him but honestly Brian Billick situations and John Harbaugh situations is different. For one The Ravens already have franchise quarterback whom has had plenty success under Harbaugh and has helped this team win more games then we actually seen when Joe Flacco was the ravens starting quarterback. We have not often seen head coaches in AFC North last as long as John Harbaugh has and has been successful with two quarterbacks drafted in the first round with two different playing styles. As successful as Mike Tomlin is even he hasn't been able to be successful in this matter.

Sean Payton is cool but Saints fans got tired of him and now look where they at now . Maybe things will get better once they get a franchise quarterback if they don't have one already but the reality is the grass isn't always greener on the other side. There's really no Sean Payton or Mike Vrabel type coach I see being available so ideally if the ravens did move on from Harbaugh they likely looking for a raising star and hoping he be that guy to help them reach the super bowl with a franchise quarterback that they also have to hope they can come to a contract extension with cause this team clearly have some holes they have to address to even be competitive going forward. Sounds like alot of work for Eric Decosta if he a has to search for a new head coach and then have to deal with Lamar contract at same time and we all know Lamar contract situations has it's challenges especially with his mom being involved .

Personally honestly I just think it' clear the ravens need to address what's been bothering them for years which is the trenches on both the offense and defense side of the ball. It's been a clear issues for some time now. They already know what it's like to win alot of games and they already know what it likes to have a offense and defense that was somewhat historic. Time to address the elephant in the room and it's not going to matter who is the head coach in 2026 until they address the matter.
