2026 Baltimore Orioles

Was at the game today for the kids to run the bases and the O’s were lifeless. Lots of defensive mistakes and batters like Alonso dropped to about .190 batting average , Well at least I missed yesterday’s fiasco.
 
They are not playing very well. I thought the opening win might have been the start of something, but there are times where they can't seem to get out of their own way.

If only the Orioles can be consistent enough to win a doubleheader.

Right now I grade the season so far as a C .

Happy to see Jim Palmer eat his first chicken wing! Who on earth hasn't eaten a chicken wing????

Orioles should have fired Mike Elias when they fired Brandon Hyde. Let's hope Elias is gone before the All-Star Break.
 
Went to the game last night with my daughter. Lost the game by the second inning. Not even fun to watch. So sad after a decade long rebuild to see this level of ineptitude.

I wonder if the coaching staff is even doing anything other than watching a game every night. Players don't make any adjustments and are referring to note cards after every batter while fielding.

Definitely frustrating, but I’m not sure what “ineptitude” you’re referring to in reference to last night, other than Trevor Roger’s suckiness and us not scoring with the bases loaded and nobody out. I mean, they shut them down after the third inning, just couldn’t crack the Yankees pitching. The note card thing isn’t new, and a lot of teams use them to position fielders to hitters.

All that said, Albernaz isn’t off to a great start in his first managing stint.

Good bounce back today to take the series, and great to see Kyle get the quality start and shutout.

Bullpen continues to impress, one of the best squads in MLB. Need Helsley back soon....

Get the bats going and get some guys healthy, hopefully they will be fine.

Should have won that game. Was a pretty weak effort by Adley with the base loaded. he looked lost.
 
Well, saved from the sweep yesterday. Gotta tough stretch here against Tampa. 6 of 10 games against the Rays... Need to make up some ground. The alternative is getting further buried.
 
We’ve had guys dropping like flies for a few years. Is Steve Saunders the strength and conditioning coach?

So Jordan needs surgery and is done for the year. May be time to try Holiday at 3rd, although Mayo is hitting well lately.
