Next Up: vs Bears

ALso seems the franchise isn't as tight lipped because someone had said from the Wednesday practice it didn't look like he was going to be playing this week.
I think that’s gotta be the most worrisome thing of the whole ordeal. Fingers are being pointed all over and no one is holding back. Narratives that they usually control are getting leaked. It’s not great when you have a player saying/giving a quote that they feel like they haven’t gotten over Buffalo yet.

The ravens probably feel that with his contract being a “the franchise depends on you almost entirely” kinda contract, that he should be able to play nicked up, and I don’t entirely disagree, but I also don’t know the extent of Lamar’s injury.
I think if he had a sore thumb or something like that he would play but a bad hamstring could possibly linger for the rest of his career

The one time I agree with him.

They tried this move before… foolish of em to try it again. But at 1-5, they desperate.

nah

it's an "accounting error" basically they clearly didnt understand the rule about scout team and injury designations

lots of people saying this purely on vibes

is there any actual evidence lamar has ever not tried to play through injury, and any evidence that he's sat when he could have played?
feels like people just decided that was the case before he signed the contract last time and are projecting that forwards this time as if that was facts and not vibes last time

Outside of being drafted by the team and having a long tenure with a single team, IE Brady & Rodgers. Is this the longest a player has gone without facing a single team ever?

2029 will be the year the Bears new stadium opens too. So Lamar will never get the chance to play at Soldier Field.

depending on season outcomes, it's possible they could play in 2027 i think

This really is the most fucked up outcome of the Ravens season so far. It's fucking unbelievable.

Idk what game it was but i remember lamar saying “ man let me throw the ball” when we failed to punch it in with henry. Probably doesnt mean anything but lamar for sure didnt like the play call

This simply reflects that Harbs has lost the locker room IMO.
Coaches that lose the locker room will get fired

After the Bills game, he was clearly playing hurt

I never said there was evidence. Never said it as if it was fact.

I can’t recall many star qbs being pressured into playing through an injury that they felt they couldn’t play through, the team manipulating reports and getting in trouble with the league trying to get their star qb to suit up, it’s strange that we’re going through this twice now, before contract and after contract.

Is it our staff being complete fucking assholes? Like are we truly the only organization who leaves everything in limbo to the public’s eye like this? I feel like 99.9% of injury reports around the league are super straightforward with none of this nonsense, and then the ravens and Lamar have gone through this multiple times.

I wish I knew what the goddamn source of the problem actually was.

Im really loving these lamar sagas lol! Doing things on his own time despite what us desperate fans and front office want him to do lol. Now if he faking, he dead to me lol but i doubt he faking an injury

but i dont agree that that's what's happened

the injury report thing is clearly just the ravens trying to keep the bears in the dark as long as possible, nothing to do with lamar

Nah, they were clearly trying to get an edge over the Bears and seems like it worked. Harbs is trying to save his job which is worth more than the fine. But I admit i never heard of that rule before.

What was the "before contract" issue? When they wouldn't publicly disclose the details of Lamar's injury? I don't really see that as an "issue", as its for nothing other than vanity on the part of the fanbase.

NFL injury reports are 100% for nothing other than gambling. It doesn't benefit any player, coach, organization or really any person associated with the NFL in any way to release player injury info at the rate they don't. It's purely to maximize interest for people partaking in gambling and fantasy sports.

No other sport comes within a thousand miles of being as transparent about injuries as the NFL does. And the fans of those sports seem to survive just fine without the extra info.

There is an advantage in a situation like this one where the Bears had to prepare for Lamar all week. Minuscule as it is but it is an advantage. But yes I agree 100% that's just gamesmanship, not something any opposing coach actually gets their panties in a bunch over. If not for gambling this is a small fine for the team and barely newsworthy but the ravnes might lose a 2nd day pick over this and its all because of f'ing gambling.
