Next Up: vs Bears

Ravens will be fine guys. Im not tripping off the reports. It is what it is. I won't be able to watch the game cause i will be out of town but the ravens will be fine. Be interesting to see how the ravens decide to use Taven Bryan . I think he may play outside linebacker similar to how the ravens has Jihad Ward do the same. Ravens will be fine guys and hope you have had or having a great Saturday.

From what I’ve read it sounds like the decision for Lamar to play or not was left up to him.
And that may be true, but doesn't change the point. If he was running scout team as of yesterday, they knew he wasn't playing. There was no attempt to force him to play by listing him as a full participant. The only thing that says is that they were trying to pull one over on the Bears.

And Harbaugh should be paying a fine. He was never full participant if running a scout team.
Probably going to cost the Ravens more of a check than Harbaugh himself but yeah, point stands. The bank account is going to be a little bit lighter after this one.

I guess, but I'm not sure how much different the Bears prep would be. We'll be running the same offense and I doubt there would have been much designed runs for LJ given his recent injury. I guess there's less chance of a deep passing game, so there's that.

This team is a dumpster fire right now
I definitely think this is somewhat accurate currently. Just feels like things are falling apart at the seams and the narratives that they usually feel they can control are slipping away from them. People in that building are talking more this year than they had been in recent years, and what's getting out is probably only 5% of what's happening inside of that building.

They simply have to get a W this week to prevent any further spiraling.

This isn't the argument but preparing for Lamar is far different than preparing for Huntley.

But addressing the actual point, I don't believe it actually helps. I think the Ravens feel that they're smarter than they actually are sometimes in their attempts to fight for competitive advantage. There's a good chance the Bears already knew Lamar wasn't playing, but that doesn't mean that the Ravens were just going to give that info up if they have a chance to make it a question. Success is a different animal all together, but the attempt here was to make the Bears think Lamar was playing.

If the attempt was to make the bears think lamar was playing, then we have a bunch of people in that building who arent smart at all and nobody can tell me otherwise. I mean like if lamar isnt playing, you legit dont have to prep for us lol. Like we literally will and would still not have an advantage over any team in the nfl if they prep for lamar and he ends up not playing lol. lamar couldve been playing, got out the first drive of the game and like what? all of a sudden bears defensive game plan fucked up? Teams could stop us consistently with 10 men on the field with cooper rush or huntley at qb..yea bro, front staff gotta have much more sense than that. Had to be something else going on than them thinking it matters if bears prepared for for lamar all week then on game day huntley or rush staring

You’re talking about the team that thinks waiting until 4pm on Saturday to announce PS call ups gives them a competitive advantage. Any time spent on preparing for Lamar instead of Huntley is a competitive advantage in their eyes. I’m not saying it’s smart, but you’re greatly underestimating what they’re willing to do in order to give themselves as much of a perceived edge as they can. It’s organizational philosophy from top to bottom.

It's probably not a big deal if this team is 5-1 or even 3-3, but everything is magnified when a team everyone thought was going to be good is 1-5 and still trending downward.

Well you measure leadership how they handle adversity. These mother fuckers have failed every single time something goes wrong. A weak minded team that need a good clean out. As someone who is living adversity every day I am fucking embarrassed of these clowns.

The one time I agree with him.

They tried this move before… foolish of em to try it again. But at 1-5, they desperate.

The ravens probably feel that with his contract being a “the franchise depends on you almost entirely” kinda contract, that he should be able to play nicked up, and I don’t entirely disagree, but I also don’t know the extent of Lamar’s injury.

If he was truly running scout team yesterday, then there was never any intention of him playing

ALso seems the franchise isn't as tight lipped because someone had said from the Wednesday practice it didn't look like he was going to be playing this week.

So now he has to wait until 2029 to play against the Bears for the first time. If this pattern of 2021 continues, you already know he ain't playing against GB.
Outside of being drafted by the team and having a long tenure with a single team, IE Brady & Rodgers. Is this the longest a player has gone without facing a single team ever?

2029 will be the year the Bears new stadium opens too. So Lamar will never get the chance to play at Soldier Field.
