I can't see this.I have a feeling Monken will be the one fired at the bye and Orr will be safe.
I dont think any of our 3 coordinators or GM are super competent. It's just a weird place to be. I'm not saying they're horrible but they're just so aggressively pedestrian. If there's no real leader or outstanding personnel in the coaching department, you've got no chance to overcome an injury storm.
I mean, another week where there's really nothing good to take away from it. This team is lost currently. The injuries suck but that doesn't excuse the mental mistakes, the inability to make a play, and the poor scheming on both sides of the ball. This team needs the bye badly.
For a small positive I think Teddye did okay as the green dot guy. That defense was gonna look awful no matter what, but he did his job as good as you could expect.
Yep. This isn't to excuse it, but I think I saw every single young guy bite on something out there that they shouldn't have. Unfortunately when that's the entirety of the defense, there's no cover for those mistakes. They compound and we get railroaded like we did today.i think the most frustrating thing about the defence schematically (and personnel-wise) right now is that it's making it hard to even see what you have in the young guys because they've got absolutely no chance to show anything
I just think we would do some backwards ish because of Harbs. I feel like Monken threatens Harbs so he would can him instead of Orr.I can't see this.
Monken is doing what he can with a weak offensive line and apparently his core fullback.
Plus, Monken got Lamar another MVP and followed that up by coachung Lamar to one of the top 10 quarterback seasons ever last year.
Orr has been absolutely terrible with what should be an extremely talented defense, even with the injuries.
Last year, the defense got a better with an easier schedule and Pees being brought in, but it's looking like that was a blip on the radar.
I think Monken has bought himself leeway. Orr, not so much.
Go to work? Lol, what the heck have they been doing if not going to work? Mentally they've checked out though.
Ohhh yer my sisterrr
I think Todd needs everything to ge perfect. If he gets that, he may be very good but he may also make you scratch your head. If it isn't perfect, he looks lost. I can't call that very good. That seems extremely pedestrian.I think Monken's a really good OC
I think EDC's one of the best GMs in the business
Harbaugh's messaging has gone stale and I think
Orr's clearly not up to it right now
Horton's fine - not obviously at the cutting edge of special teams schematically but also is dealing with a lot of young and inexperienced special teamers
Yeah I don't really know what to make of it right now. I've heard Orr's seat is hot and I wonder if Harbaugh is just not going to publicly throw his guy under the bus. I partially feel for Orr because no one is going to succeed with the players we're throwing out there, but there are also so many schematic issues that I don't know how you can overlook. What an atrocious team. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team just fail like this. I don’t know what is wrong with this team. Harbaugh says it’s coaching and execution but when asked if he will make any coaching changes he says he won’t.
Zay looked phenomenal today. That dude is a dog and is fighting his ass off and is really standing out in a big way.
I’m getting a sense there’s a locker room divide. There’s always these subtle jabs these guys make publicly but you can’t pinpoint it. Humphrey and Hamilton and now Van Noy. It’s just so weird because they act like coaching isn’t the issue, down play injuries saying other teams overcome it. I get that these guys are professionals and know what to say and what not to say, but you’d think some frustration would leak. I’m starting to wonder if some players could get cut. If they won’t make a coaching change, not sure what other changes you make if not player changes.
Orr blows ass before and during this game, well before the injuries.Yeah I don't really know what to make of it right now. I've heard Orr's seat is hot and I wonder if Harbaugh is just not going to publicly throw his guy under the bus. I partially feel for Orr because no one is going to succeed with the players we're throwing out there, but there are also so many schematic issues that I don't know how you can overlook.
And then on the player front, I just don't know how you get better at this stage. Sure you can sub out some back end of the roster fodder for more back end of the roster fodder but the chances of that making a difference are slim. We need our big names to get healthy and start playing like we know they can.
