That's not how that works. If your best players don't play well you still have to find ways to win and all the other guys need to step up. This team has never shown the ability to win games, when healthy, if Lamar isn't close to perfect or having a monster game.

Houston is not a top 4 AFC team. This play is unacceptable and uninspired.

Yes the other players who are your playmakers are who you expect to step up. When ALL of them are out you are basically screwed. We are basically here asking why the backup S or backup CB cant make a huge play when they are replacing a 1st team all pro?

Also they have been top 4 the past 2 years. That gets you the pedigree to say you are top 4 until proven otherwise.

Why? the game went exactly as expected and I made great money on it because I did not believe an offense without the 2x MVP QB and the all pro LT would look god. I similarly did not think the defense without the all pro DT, multi time all pro LB, all pro CB, and the best S in football could be competitive. There is a gap between good players and backups and that difference is on display here.
