2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

My takeaways as I finalize my board...

We already know but it's an extremely weak class at the top. I ended with 15 pure 1st round grades.

I think the player you get at the end of the 1st is virtually the same you get at the beginning of the 3rd. Of course there are tiers within that bucket but I don't see too many stark differences.

The same as above - I think the players you get at the midpoint of the 3rd are similar to what you get around the midpoint of the 5th. The drop off starts there in my opinion.

Strong positions: WR, TE, iOL, Edge, DT (depending on your flavor)
Weak positions: QB, RB, S
Normal-ish: OT, C, LB, CB

i think my range is somewhat smaller but definitely 16th-50th range gets you a fairly similar player

Oh shit, McCoy in the second would be a still but I still have Ojabo PTSD

reading it seems like there's no concerns about the short-term, but it's a long-term concern (same sort of reason crosby didn't pass his physical)

it's less about immediate or short-term health and more about your team's appetite for risk in the longer term

I just watched the WRs again and I only have a 1st round grade FOR THE RAVENS on Tate and Concepcion. I just can't see it with any other guy

Kinda feel like Vega is our pick if he's there at 14. If he's not, this feels like classic trade back to me.

Also feels like the Steelers will draft Concepcion
I say every year it takes two to tango, but it feels even more like the case this year. Bengals giving up 10 for Lawrence because they weren’t enthused by their options says a lot.

Well if it's similar to Crosby I don't see how that's a problem for the other 31 GMs !

Do we think Freeling could slide inside his first two years ? If so, maaaaaan his tape in the run game is nice

I don’t see him sliding inside, he looks like a pure tackle to me, but damn I also LOVE his tape. Elite build and athleticism, and he’s got a great foundational skillset in the run game

i just think he'll get seriously out-leveraged inside
he's one of the OT prospects (alongside Blake Miller and Caleb Lomu) who i think won't translate well inside

of the top OT prospects, the ones i think have interior position flex are Mauigoa, Fano, Proctor

I try not to overreact to in division moves, but the trade for Dexter has shot Ioane up my list even more, it’s a need either way but we can NOT get in a dogfight with the bengals for the division with our iOL and Dexter Lawrence out there

My worry is the giants take him at 10 literally just to spite us

rumour is the bengals were in on peter woods at 10

no wonder they were so happy to give up the 10th overall pick for sexy dexy if that's who they were indexing on at 10th overall...

Heard a few things today, and I don't believe I'm going to get a name this year. That's largely because (a) they don't feel they need to be locked in at 14 and are open to moving either direction and (b) there are a few teams looking to move up into the top 10ish to get the high end talent before it drops off.

I can at least confirm that they aren't lying about their OL board though. Doesn't mean they won't take a guy at 14 still, but they genuinely do have a lot of guys on the board and feel like they're equipped to take a couple that they believe will be early contributors.

They're most likely going to be drafting a P as well. Randy Brown has been on the circuit going all over the country and working these guys out.

They have 11 picks (for now) and are going to be taking a swing all up and down the depth chart, but OL, WR, and TE are the positions they'd really like to solve. They'll never complain about a pass rusher either but they feel good with Trey and think Mike Green is going to take the step they need.

ive got at least 20 OL in this class who i'd think have a decent chance at factoring into a starting conversation in year 1
