Still no sign of this section being sorted out...

so just starting this here now that we've had the CFB season has started.

The pundits say this is more likely to be a better QB year than last year

Didn't think I'd be thinking about checking out draft prospects after 4 weeks heading into the season...

Hopefully some DL around this year...

Also thinking about this way too early... I don't see how you don't go trenches in this draft. Identify some guys and move around to make it work instead of sitting back and taking what you get. We have areas we need to attack. Go attack them.

Unfortunately, like you, I'm catching up on the draft.
It looks like a good year for QBs.
I'm jotting down some names for further exploration, but they look good.
Iowa
Center Logan Jones (65)
Safety Koen Entringer (4)

Indiana Hoosiers
Wr Elijah Sarrat (13)

Texas A&M
LG Chase Bisontis (71).

A first approximation

Reuben Bain Jr doesn’t exactly have the athletic profile of a top 5 pick as an edge rusher. Compact, short arms, not really explosive or light on his feet, but man is he skilled and he’s just got an it factor about him, feels like he’s always right there either making a play or an inch away from it and influencing the play

not a grade or even a real opinion or anything yet...
but despite 30 inch arms, cashius howell caught my eye last year and i've seen a bunch of sacks from him this year too

added to the list

EDIT:
the fact im already compiling a list says all you need to know about this season so far

Texas Tech is an interesting defense in my opinion. Three names stand out:
31 David Bailey, edge rusher
2 Lee Hunter, NT
10 Jacob Rodriguez, LB

Hunter and Rodriguez will be 24 next season, so I don't know if that's relevant.

If the season is awful and we pick top ten then Spencer Fano would be a great addition to the line. Monster of an OT that plays intense. Could possibly follow Ogden's path of playing a year inside, and then kick out to replace Stanley.

Love Fano. Uber athletic, strong, long, starter and finisher, he gives max effort to drive your ass back punish you, or put you on the ground, excellent puller.

Would be a weapon of a LG as a rookie and a LT when we have to move on from Stanley

Also, Emmanuel pregnon looks really good

Jake Slaughter, the center from Florida, looks like he'd go a long way in fixing the interior line.

Gennings Dunker looks like a good OT to G candidate that has tons of power.
