Gotcha. I guess every hard core Raven fan knows damn well they f'ed up not trading up for the DT they wanted in that spot, now we know who and when. Maybe Vinson pans out and and the guy they wanted didn't and it turns into a nice story.

Does it really matter, considering we're talking 5th round here?

I thought that post would get a bit of push back.

I wasn't expecting to get starters on day 3. What I was hoping for were a couple more guys who could push the starters a little in camp and be ready to go in case of injury and a few fewer guys who might be inactive on game days because they're further away than that.

I viewed the pre-draft roster as strong but needing to add depth for this season, and in that one person's assessment, they gambled on higher upside for future seasons at the expense of adding depth for this season which feels risky in a Super Bowl window.

I think the Ravens figure that their Super Bowl window is all of Lamar's prime so they have another 6-7 years of a Super Bowl window.

In the big scheme, no.

In a deep D tackle draft there will be 1 or 2 good run stuffers that emerge from the 5th or later. That's not to say we'd have been the lucky ones who found them.
