My rankings with just under 4 weeks until the 1st round gets underway.

Loosely going to do top 10s (top 15s for OL and DB because i'm combining groups) - will add extra players if I've got guys with the same grades as the 10th player in the ranking.

I've listed Travis Hunter as both a WR and a CB in the rankings. I prefer him at WR but he would be WR1 and CB1 in this class for me.

Out of these names, which of these gentlemen are on your "Pound the Table" list? :eyes:

idk if these guys will be there at 27 but im way higher on these guys than consensus:
Walter Nolen
Donovan Ezeiruaku

big fan of Trey Amos too but I think he's not gonna be BPA for our first rounder and think he's gonna be long gone by the time we get back on the clock in the 2nd

im much higher than consensus on Jordan Phillips and I really like Joshua Farmer as DL on day 2 as well

Anthony Belton and Wyatt Milum would be slam dunks if they made it to the 3rd round

Edge guys who would be great in R2 if they made it: Bradyn Swinson, Landon Jackson, Princely Umanmielen

Derrick Harmon is my main pound the table guy. Zabel, Grant, and Nolen as well. The top end linemen on both sides in general for the first round, but Harmon is the one I want most

Outside of the early rounds, I'll pound the table for Chris Paul Jr, and both of the Georgia guards.

Would be curious to hear some detail on McMillan. Not because I disagree necessarily...

i realised the table's not quite right - he's actually at 25 rather than 32 but that's close enough to be much of a muchness

but his ball skills and fluidity are great but he just doesn't separate, doesn't tempo his routes, doesn't have the speed to win deep unless it's right outside - he's a ball winner

he's got a great skillset for sure but not one that i think works well with lamar and this offence - tbh don't think he's a great fit for modern offence and space... put him in the 2013 draft and he's a top 5 pick, with the way the game has changed, i don't see that skillset as being as valuable anymore

keep seeing comps with drake london, but london was way more sudden and explosive on tape

derrick harmon i kinda flip flop on a bit - he's super traitsy - length and athleticism but he's quite inconsistent and a bit developmental in some respects

hips can be a bit tight so while he can clear himself from the OL with his length and athleticism, he can't always turn the corner to finish and he plays quite high with a bit of a top heavy frame

on the plus side, that probably means there's more power you can develop into his game with an nfl conditioning program and some coaching but i don't know that the flexibility will improve

I've already talked about how much of a fan of walter nolen i am

i like grey zabel for sure - just think there will be better players available

EDIT: just realised you were probably talking about kenneth grant not charles grant lol - big fan of kenneth - not sure he's what we want/need in a DT prospect right now but he's one of the biggest freak athletes in the class this year - a massive nose tackle with legit pass rush upside (albeit mostly untapped right now)

I don't disagree. He's a tough one for me because I can't get 2014 Mike Evans out of my head. I had such similar feelings with him and was so wrong... but that was also the early parts of my scouting interest.

i loved mike evans back then - he was so much more explosive off the ball on tape

tet has basically come in with the same athletic testing but 12lbs lighter and obviously we've had significant athletic inflation over the last 11 years

im not saying tet can't be explosive but he just doesnt do it on film often at all - he's smooth and fluid all over the tape but he's not a consistently violent or dynamic athlete on tape

there's a reason mike evans went 7th in a draft full of all-pros and pro bowlers and even (at least) a couple of HOFers

there's a reason that there's questions that Tet might not even go top 10 in a class severely lacking in top tier blue chip talent

Idk if it was real or not but apparently he said in an interview that he only studies film when it’s wr group filmstudy sessions with the coaches, and that he doesn’t feel he has much to learn from film study

yeah i saw it - it's a couple of years old

obviously not the best answer and you obviously want to find the guys who absolutely love football and have the growth mindset but he's also not alone in the way he answered that question... there's a lot of NFL pros (especially non-QBs) who are not film grinders

it's definitely something to bear in mind but it's not something that's a disqualifying red flag

it's also possible that after 2 years, he's changed his mindset

I'm glad to see that you are also super high on Jalon Walker. It feels lazy to make the comparison to a number neighbor, but there was a snap against Kentucky wherein he legitimately looked like Micah Parsons. The reacceleration after the swim was straight up special. I badly want him to be a full time edge. Good work on putting this thing together!
