    2026 NFL Draft Gameday Thread

You can get solid starters in the IOL in the 3rd and 4th round and if you do the trade you will have 2 pick in the 3rd to fill that hole. Also important you did the math on Trey wrong. Trey doesn't need 10 sacks to get the Ravens to league average, he needs 13-15 because him being on the...

Looking for depth isn't a hole. If the situation can be resolved by signing a vet min player then its not a hole and RB3 is one of those positions (and you can find RB3 on day 3 as well). You can upgrade a position and not have it be a hole. With the 22/24 starters (depending on how you...

    2026 NFL Draft Gameday Thread

I’m probably the person here most down on Bateman (I thought he would be lucky to get a 4th let alone a 3rd) but I think he might be comparable to Simpson which means that position group isnt a hole. Being weak at number 3 WR is hardly a hole. The IOL is a hole. The IOL is the WR room minus...

I don’t count WR as a hole because they have an ability be average 1 and a below average 2 making the room okay. Maybe a new WR3 is nice but that’s not enough to call it a hole. Right now IOL is a massive hole. One of the 3 positions has a proven starter (not great but at least proven). The...

There are not a lot of holes though. There are only 2 holes: a second pass rusher and IOL. Those are the only holes. There are areas to add depth but that is what late round picks are for and you can find good IOL on late day 2 early day 3.

Then again I remember them saying they were not targeting Kyle Hamilton and then he fell inexplicably.

How likely is it that they stay where they are at?

The Ravens have 2 areas on the team that are not good: IOL and pass rush. One great pass rusher doesnt solve the latter and no moves have been made for the former.

Going from 14 to 8 costs more than a 3rd but less than a 2nd so probably have to get their 3rd back after trading 1 and 2 (with some late rounds mixed around to even it out).

So I saw some mocks that have Bain going between 8 and 12. If he is available at 7-8 I would figure out a way to make that trade happen. I think Bain is the Kyle Hamilton of this cycle aka a player who we saw dominate and suddenly everyone is trying to second guess what our eyes told us based...

Cool and his only point of comparison is college practices. Not to mention people are often wrong about things they themselves experience. Its hard to be able to see things from a wide view when you are in the middle of it.

We said that last time and the replacements were worse… a lot worse.

    Lamar Jackson

I mean guaranteeing 3 years of a deal isnt even all that uncommon on a 5 year deal.

Yes but an extension that starts in 2 years is different than one starting in 1 in terms of value. My point is if the max offer is a 1 he isn’t getting traded. The Giants would rather have him than a single 1st (which makes sense).

    Signings, Cuts, Trades

I mean if you trade for him then he isn't on that expensive of a contract. McDuffie had the last year of his rookie deal and then the Rams had to pay him 31m per year for 4 years. Meanwhile Lawrence has 2 years 37m which is a bargain before you likely extend him as well. McDuffie is 3 years...

Its going to take a Mcduffie overpay because they almost certainly wont want to trade him when they have under contract at a cheap value. He isn't getting traded and if it was it would be because someone overpaid for him. A 1st and a 3rd/4th is about what one would expect normally.

    Signings, Cuts, Trades

They don’t want to trade him. Normally for a 28 year old all pro DT, a single first gets it done but they will have to overpay because they won’t want to trade him (similar to Crosby).

    Signings, Cuts, Trades

Presumably it would cost basically the same package they offered for Crosby. Wonder if they pull the trigger on that.

    Signings, Cuts, Trades

I have watched the draft every single year and every single year they do the exact same thing for every team in the first round. First, they talk about the big offseason stories for the teams, usually acquisitions and departures but in this case it means a 100% chance they talk about the trade...

    Signings, Cuts, Trades

Ya you are right when 1st round picks are made they don't immediately drawing comparisons or talking about the team and in the lead up to the picks they never talk about the big stories for teams in the offseason... oh wait they do both of those things. So its VERY likely that story gets...
