MLB General Discussion Thread (Non-Orioles)

JO_75

Hall of Famer
Saw we still had the 2023 MLB general discussion thread and figured to start a new one. Decided that it be easier to not make it season specific so we can just have one thread to discuss anything MLB related and the Postseason every year that doesn't involve the Orioles. With that said, how do we start this thread? A Huge mega contract making Juan Soto the highest paid athlete in all SPORTS. As an O's fan, I'm just glad he's out of the AL East.

Thanks for this. @Militant X 1 you can put your Yankees stuff here and keep it the hell out of the O's thread! Thank you!

Pretty crazy that Soto goes to the cross town rival Mets. I’m sure it will spark some “lively” discussion amongst the boroughs. lol

Well, I get it. I see two things from it:

1. He was offered $5 mil more than what the Yankees offered him.
2. He was in Aaron Judge's shadow with the Yankees.

Now with the Mets, all of the pressure will be on Soto to deliver since he is being paid more than some franchises are worth.
