And THAT conclude today's session. Glad it was a lot less stressful than the previous few games.
No they weren’t absolutely better and Joe burrow isn’t better than LamarI mean they were absolutely better last year. Also the Bills do not really run the push tush they just have Allen power run it. Hurts gets the push tush TDs. For context the gap between Allen and Lamar last year is actually larger than the gap between Lamar and Allen this year (just flip who has it) so to say there is not a big gap between them last year is to say there is not one this year.
Edit: You could say that a lot of that gap (well for yards at least) was caused by games like this where Lamar just did not have to play the entire game whereas Allen did but that does not cover all of it.
Then you think Lamar absolutely doesnt have better numbers than Allen right because the gap is literally smaller. Also you mentioned Burrow, and this will also highlight why MVP is not a stats race, he has, by far, the best stats of all 3.No they weren’t absolutely better and Joe burrow isn’t better than Lamar
Lamar has the best stats of the 3. Especially when you add rushing yards. Lamar has nearly the same passing volume output as Burrow on 100 less attemptsThen you think Lamar absolutely doesnt have better numbers than Allen right because the gap is literally smaller. They don't have nearly the same passing output. There are 400 yards that separate them and that is with 3 games to go. For context 280 yards separate Allen and Lamar prior to this Sunday (and judging by how that game is going that number might get closer). You can argue a lot of things about their output but Lamar does not have nearly the same passing output as Burrow and it is silly to make that claim.Lamar has the best stats of the 3. it's who is most important to his team and Allen and Lamar should be neck and neck in the MVP raceThen you think Lamar absolutely doesnt have better numbers than Allen right because the gap is literally smaller. Last year reinforced that you basically need to be a top 2 seed to be taken seriously. Regardless of whether that is right or not that is what the award has become in the last decade.it's who is most important to his team and Allen and Lamar should be neck and neck in the MVP race

Lamar’s path to a close race is becoming the 3 seed (so Steelers need to lose next week and 1 more) and the Bills need to lose 1 more, ideally quickly (in the next 5 minutes would be best).
What killed Allen last year is that when Allen put up his best numbers they weren’t winning and they were playing to get into the playoffs week 17. The problem being that award was considered “finished” by then as the Ravens had the 1 seed. Also, a huge part of last year was just how dominant the Ravens and Lamar were against winning teams that many considered contenders.
The Lions and 49er games just stood out and Lamar played very well against winning teams.
Bills the year before lost to the Jets and managed to score 16, the Jags, Patriots, barely beat the Giants 14-9 and Broncos. Generally Allen was good but those turnovers really killed him.
