Shutouts

JoeyFlex5

Hall of Famer
the 1976 steelers hold the record for most shutouts in a season with 5.

the 2000 ravens are #2 with 4(idk if theyre tied with anyone)

can we do it?

I actually think its possible. You have Houston and Indy left on the schedule and despite a good showing today against a bad Arizona team Houstons O is nothing special and Indy is just bad. Not to mention games against both Bengals and Browns so really I can see the Ravens hitting 5

I really dont get the pessimistic attitude after the game. Ravens are going to be favored in 5 of there next 6 win 4 and you are 100% in playoffs win 3 and you are likely in playoffs.

Don't give a shit. Just make the playoffs which I think we'll fall short yet again.
hey, you, stop being a shitbag. if we set the record for shutouts then at least we have a cool feat in a shit season!

lets also add this... we have quite possibly the worst offense in the league, idk the real stat but i wouldnt be suprised if we have more punts/turnovers than we have first downs(maybe an exaggeration, but we give the ball to the offense often), being able to threaten an all time record for shutouts is an incredible feat in these circumstances.

plus add the fact that we have a very young defense.

so youre saying 9-7 is 100% and 8-8 is "likely"?

I'd like to see it, but like you, don't think we'll make playoffs.

Can someone give me a quick summary of the game?
Exactly. If we make the playoffs AND tie or break the record for most shutouts in a game, then I'd be hyped AF. Otherwise, it's pretty meaningless to me.

Geez, if we only had a lethal offense.

They don't even need to be lethal... If they were average, hell, even slightly subpar our record looks much different.

look at what the vikings are managing to do with case keenum at qb... they have a superstar in adam thielen and another good receiver in stefon diggs but their line is only ok, their qb is a career backup, they lost their star rookie rb and yet they have a functional and working offence with a bullying defence - and they just toppled the highest scoring offence in the nfl this week and looked good doing it

I had a feeling the Vikings would win this week. Traveling east and playomg at 1:00 isn’t typically a recipe for success. That being said, I struggled with who to pick in this game, but ended up going with the home team.

Agree, I enjoy watching the rams as well, who figured. I did feel that McVay would have success, but not this fast and this much. If he doesn’t get coach of the year, then I don’t know who should.
