Next Up: @Green Bay

@Ice Bowl and friends- I posted up my weekly prediction.

I honestly think this game will be okay for the Ravens offensively. I didn't realize that Stanley was out when I wrote my piece, but the Packers have such a bad secondary that it may not matter. Offensively, Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are disappointing relative to expectations and the Packers look to be without Bryan Bulaga, Morgan Burnett, Aaron Jones, and Ty Montgomery.
This will definitely help, but I’m not counting on Stanley playing and as Rossi mentioned, this affects our run game tremendously with Hurst playing LT and whoever playing lg

It’s a real shame if he’s out - will really make me miss Alex Lewis as a backup LT/LG
Yeah tell me about it. Although I wasn’t a fan of Lewis as a lg, he’s certsinly a better backup LT than we currently have in the roster. Speaking of Lewis, I did think he would be better in a power scheme and his pass blocking was good, but his run blocking was atrocious. I would have liked to see how he played at RT.

Me and a friend of mine, who happens to be Cowboys fan, are going at it right now. He says that there is NO WAY we are beating the Packers with Flacco and that trashy offense. I'm saying that without Zekey boy, Lee and Smith the Eagles are going to skull drag them on tomorrow night. My point?

I sure hope the Ravens and the Eagles get the "W" so our fan bases can be like this....

I would definitely have picked us here if Stanley wasn't out. We have zero margin for injury on the o line and to lose your LT is devastating. This offense is having a hard enough time establishing anything, so it is hard to see how they are going to get anything going.

Yes, the Pack isn't great offensively ... poor run game and a green QB. However, our defense can only be great when the offense doesn't suck. When the offense sucks, they can't seem to hold up for the entire game ... eventually after the 90th rushing attempt breaks free and our rushing D statistically ends up looking bad - when they really arent.

I view this as a pick-em game. If we can play relatively mistake free (both penalties and turnovers) we'll have a shot. If we don't, we'll lose. But boy do we need this win - badly, or playoff hopes fade to virtually nil.

We are in a scenario where we can lose two games and those two games should be in the nfc. It will become must win when we hit 7 losses. That being said every one of these games counts.

Must is a stretch even then. I cant see us not making the playoffs at 9-7 but I can also see several scenarios where we make it at 8-8. The only thing that stops that is I think the Raiders are better than there record so far.

Basically 4 teams matter for that final playoff spot. The Ravens the Bills the Dolphins and Raiders. Other then the Bills who are about to fall off a cliff the Ravens have outright beaten the other 2 teams so they hold tiebreakers with an even record and all 3 have the same record. I would be shocked if the Dolphins hit 9 wins and I can see the Raiders hitting 8 or 9 wins and if its 8 the Ravens only need to win 4 of 7.

Edit: I know for tiebreakers why its better to lose to the NFC teams but in all honesty it likely will not come down to that because the Ravens own the head to head over the only 2 teams who are going to be tied with the Ravens.
